Account error
I can't log in to the Firefox account I created several months ago! I used it successfully to Sync bookmarks on multiple computers, but recently I updated firefox and was told to log in to a new version of Sync.
I have tried repeatedly to log in to my account, but every time I am told that my password is wrong. When I try the "Recover Password" option, and when I try to set up a new account with the same email address, it always says I have exceeded the attempt limit.

Firefox Sync has transitioned to Firefox Accounts. You would need to set up a new account in order to do what you want at this moment.
Visit about:accounts in the address bar to start setting up your account to start synchronizing your info across device.
