Since updating to the latest version of Firefox I have not been able to log on to uverse.com. I can log on to all other web sites I normally visit. I have tried using Internet Explorer and have no problem logging on. Also previous to the latest upgrade I could log on to uverse.co using Firefox.

Are you getting an error message? If so, what is it. Besides not loading the page, what else happens? Does Firefox crash?

When I go to uverse home page and click sign in the first two times it takes me to the sign in page. I fill out the user name and password, hit enter and right back the the home page asking me to sign in. After a couple of tries it does not even take me to the sign in page. When I hit "sign in" the home page disappears then comes right back, like when you hit the refresh button. I am using the correct user name and password because it works in IE. Can log right in.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

  • check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.

  • Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
