Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
While still in Safe Mode,
Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.
Edward27821 Do as instructed above.
This could be a problem with a plugin. There is one report that shows the Adobe Reader plugin (nppdf32.dll)
You can check for issues caused by plugins and set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the "Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page.
- plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode
The crash report flagged these programs;
lpxpcom.dll = LastPass
idmcchandler7.dll = Internet Download Manager
IPSEng32.dll = Symantec Intrusion Detection ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ bp-094f7337-76ab-417b-b859-9a5d52151004
Signature hang
Process Type plugin Adobe Acrobat Version: 11.0.10.32
nppdf32.dll = Adobe Acrobat
As a test, remove Lastpass from your system. It has caused many problems of late.
Use "3-bar" menu button > Exit (Power button) (Windows: File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.
If you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" then try to disable this feature.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
