saving my tabs when closing Firefox so they are still there when I start Firefox again
Had to use restore on my computer recently and after I did, Firefox seem to have lost the ability to save the tabs I had open since the last time I used it, can't remember how it was configured to save the tabs after each session. Also the restore previous session was greyed out so the previous session was not kept, was only able to recover some of the tabs by looking through my history, at this time I can't just close Firefox and open it to my previous tabs, it starts from a new session. Will be closing Firefox from now on till a solution is found from my Task Manager, since this usually lets me restore Firefox previous tabs since it acts like a crash.

Normally, Firefox saves your open Windows and tabs as you go in case your browser crashes, so it can restore your session automatically. To have Firefox do that every time you start up, you can set that on the Options page. See: Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings.
If Firefox still doesn't restore your session, check the Privacy panel of the Options page to make sure:
(1) You are allowing Firefox to save history (2) You are not clearing history at shutdown

Note that you can still restore the previous session at any time via "History > Restore Previous Session".
Couldn't restore from previous session because it was grayed out, it was disabled. For some reason it seemed to have righted itself, don't know why because I had closed it and reopened Firefox, and also restarted it, it only seemed to correct itself after a update was done, one that had been evidently removed when the computer was restored to a date previous to October 1st of this year.
