When I clik on a link to view another webpage or document, a blank page comes up (a single "png dot"). How can I resolve this matter?

The links are located on emails I receive from allowed sources. When I click on their links to read additional material (another document) or view an image, I get a blank page with a single dot in the middle of the page. The tab header says it is a PNG image (1 x 1 pixel). Any suggestions to resolve this problem?

Often the links in bulk email are routed through a tracking service instead of direct to the final link destination. If you look at the address bar on the image page, does it seem to be one of those intermediaries rather than the page you expected to load? If you click the address bar and press Enter to try the address again, does that do anything?

One possibility is that security software or a security add-on is killing a redirect from that intermediary page to the ultimate destination. For example, I think the Kaspersky Anti-Banner feature might do this.

As a test, download the file and open it with a PNG viewer.
