Can't send emails. Get message "Login to server smtp.verizon.net failed"
On one of my accounts when I try to send emails I get a message "Login to server smtp.verizon.net failed". Below that are three buttons: RETRY ENTER NEW PASSWORD CANCEL I have verified that I am using the correct password. This is happening on both of my computers for that account.

If you have just updated Thunderbird it will almost certainly be your anti virus or Firewall that is the problem here.
Check the firewall component to ensure Thunderbird Version 45 is allowed access to the internet.
