In that case, Fasthost is very likely to be your email provider. Presumably they provide the email address and the server and manage the account. Thunderbird is merely s tool for working with email.

Your username and password are administered with your email provider. You need to sort that out with them. Other things like wrong server setting will return the password error but you need to know your login details are correct first.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. Forgive my ignorance but I thought mozilla was my provider. When I set the email up from the WEB site [ provided by Fasthost ] it advised me to use mozilla. I am now confused can you help ?

Many Thanks

Martin
