Why am I not able to install Firefox to a folder of my choosing?
I run an SSD as my boot drive and install all of my programs on a separate drive. During the installation of Firefox I am not given the choice to direct the installation. Please tell me how I can get around this issue because SSD drives only have so many reads and wrights.
Thank you

If you select Custom installation instead of the Standard one, you can select the installation folder. Refer to this KB article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/custom-installation-firefox-on-windows
Firefox will still store your browsing data under your Windows user profile folder, normally:
C:\Users\username\
Have you relocated that folder to a different drive? I ask because there are likely to be many more read/write accesses to that folder than to the program files.
No, I also didnt get an option to choose where to install it
I dont get that prompt window. It just installs when i run it.
Did you read the article? You need to download the "full" installer.
You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (58.0.2) in all languages and all operating systems here:
