always open thundebird inbox when thunderbird starts even if in other folder at shutdown

I have noticed that if I select an inbox sub folder, review or delete a specific message and exit from Thunderbird while viewing the sub folder, when I restart Thunderbird instead of opening the inbox it opens the last sub folder that was open when the program was open. Is there a way to cause the program to always open the inbox regardless of the last open folder?
