Hello community,

So I just came up with thunderbird and I waned to give it a try for my emails and my calendars. The Calendar that I want to sync is from Nextcloud 13 and Thunderbird 60.5.1 (64-bit) on MacOS Mojave 10.14.2. The email sync works pretty fine. I tried though to create a Calendar as well:

Double click on the left bar Choose "On the network" Format: CalDav Location: cloud.xxxxxx.xxx/remote.php/dav/principals/users/xxxx/ Offline support enabled then "next"

on the next tab: Name:xxxxxx Color Show reminders enabled email: The email that I synced

when I finish the configuration the name of the calendar is on the left bar with a triangle exclamation next to it. When I pass the cursor by it, it shows "The calendar xxx is momentarily not available". I tried to sync it but it does nothing. I triedto add an event but nothing changes on the calendar.

What could it be the problem? Thanks in Advance, Alex

As I understand it, Nextcloud is a CalDAV provider, and you can probably set it up in TB with theses two add-ons:

https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/dav-4-tbsync/

https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/tbsync/

sfhowes, thank you very much for your quick response. I tried it on my mac and it worked!

The only problem is that I tried doing the exact thing on a Windows computer and when I type the server on tbsync configuration, it says that this server cannot be reached. I tried both Primary and MacOS CalDav addresses and none of these seem to work.

Is there any other process to make it work on windows?

Thanks, Alex

I'm glad it's working on the Mac, but can't immediately explain why the Windows version has problems. Most add-ons should work on both systems, but of course the operating system environment is different. There is a post about Nextcloud that may help. On Windows TB, open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor and double-click a preference (network.cookie.same-site.enabled) to toggle its value from true to false.

Seems like you are a hero!

I toggled the value from true to false and the addons worked!

Thank you once again for your help!
