Firefox crashes every single time, have installed 1.0PR

Hi.

Dell Inspiron 1420, Vista and Firefox 3.6.3

Cannot open firefox at all, it starts to load, then crashes. Happens everytime. Also my IE is crashing. Only way I managed to go online was by finding an old PC World disc (2005) that had an original version on it.

Is this a new virus I may have picked up? Or is it a glitch? I installed 3.0.6 thinking maybe it was the latest version of Firefox having issues, but that crashed immediately also.
