I would like to be able to open an additional Firefox browser (more than one browser open at a time) in Windows 7.

If you have two tabs running, right mouse click on the second tab and select "open in new window" This will essentially give you two browser windows open. You can do this with several windows as opposed to using tabbed viewing.
