My father is still on aol and I'm cutting that cord and teaching him mozilla, but aol won't let you export bookmarks so I need to know how to enter them manually. Where is the 'add new' button that was in the 'organize bookmarks' dropdown in previous versions? Or do I need to visit every site and drag them in?

"Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in Firefox 4 and later.
You can also add a new bookmark via the right-click context menu in the right pane.
