from androi device, how do you delete the history from the "all pages" and "history" tabs?

so far i have not found a way to delete the browser history on my android that has been synced from my home computer. when i clicked on clear private data i ended up having to re-enter my sync key to enable the droid to access it again.. and the history was still there.
