Cant enter any favorites into the top sites boxes- right click brings no options for this. How do I resolve this issue?

Top sites opens when a new tab is opened, but all boxes are blank. When I right click to enter a website into one of the boxes, nothing comes up to select a website that can be stored in any of the topsites boxes.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
