Hotmail used to automatically check for new mail regularly. It no longer does that. I have to click on refresh to get new mail.

hello, unfortunately this is known regression in firefox 13. there is nothing that you can do on your end at the moment - microsoft & mozilla are aware of this problem and work on fixing this issue.
