I'm sorry that I can't help with your specific problem, but I may be able to save you a little typing. If the mac book is like my iMac, the "bottom tool bar at the bottom of my mac book" is called the "dock". Good luck.
On second thought, once you do get it back on the dock where you want it, can't you keep it there by right-clicking the icon, choosing Options, and then Keep in Dock?

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.
Open the Firefox disk image (DMG) file and drag the Firefox program to the application folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but drag it out of the DMG folder instead.
I had this problem when i was making music playlists at fuhshniZZle.com and could not figure how to get it back. My friend taught me about the "recent items" option in the menu for the the macbook. Just choose the first icon in the menu which is the apple icon.
it will store a list of recently used items which should contain the icon you accidentally deleted.
