The Rapport icon which appears between the http: box and google box is missing

more options

In the older version of Firefox the Rapport security Icon (Trusteer endpoint protection) was located between the http; search box and the google search box. To use Rapport to protect a site I just clicked on the icon and asked it to protect. The icon is not visible in the latest Firefox release although the software is still loaded. This is on Windows 7 but on an XP machine the icon is still there??

You may have an old version installed. While Firefox is closed, install the latest version.

If that doesn't solve the problem, right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize. Drag the icon from the palette onto a toolbar.

If that doesn't help either,

  1. Type about:support into the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Click the Show Folder button. A Windows Explorer window with your profile folder opens.
  3. Exit Firefox.
  4. Delete the localstore.rdf file from the profile folder.
  5. Start Firefox and once again right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize, then drag the icon from the palette onto a toolbar.

If the problem persists, contact the add-on's author for support at the aforementioned link.
