Can't delete email from any account until I close Thunderbird and reopen. Thunderbird can,t find the sent folder.
Thunderbird opens and I can send msg BUT it stalls trying to send to Sent Folder. Restarting Thunderbird seems to solve the problem. Also on opening Thunderbird I can view mail but can not move junk to Junk Folder or delete unwanted messages. Reloading Thunderbird solves problem; until the next time.

what mail provider and is the account IMAP or POP?
I am running Thunderbird on a Dell Mini running Win 7 starter. Three of my accounts are provided via Verizon, Towson Univ, and Google. All three share the problems. Between the three I use IMAP and POP.
If I recall correctly starter editions of windows are throttled in regard to the number of application they can run, so I assume your computer is pretty low power. there are other possibilities, but McAfee is the most obvious.
