When I installed FireFox a search bar was installed that I can't seem to remove.
The search bar is at the top of my screen. i can't right click it to access any options or anything. I can't remove it through the internet options in FireFox either. I've highlighted the search bar in the attachment. Please help.

Hi, that can happen if you didn't select 'custom' or similar install when you downloaded Firefox, or if you didn't download from mozilla.org
I can't see your screenshot, but look in the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Plugins and Extensions for any suspect toolbars and disable/remove, then restart Firefox.
Hopefully not necessary, but you can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

You might have installed an unofficial bundle/updater and you probably should clean that out and install again from Mozilla's site.
The fake Firefox bar that runs across the top of the desktop usually is caused by a third party program called "Web Bar". Please open the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. (On Windows 8, you may need to use the Charms bar search box to find it.)
After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help surface undisclosed bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Be suspicious of everything you do not recognize/remember, as malware often uses important or innocent sounding names to discourage you from removing it.
Take out as much trash as possible here. If you're not sure, feel free to post program names or a screenshot of the list.
For your safety, I would remove any potentially unofficial or altered version of Firefox and reinstall from here:
