install server certificate file
I have a self-signed server certificate file. I specifically want to install the file from local disk: it was obtained from another source rather than attempting to have Firefox first connect to the site and *then* add an exception. I want to be able to go to Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> View Certificates -> Servers -> Import...
However, that last step is missing.

Yes, the Servers tab has "Add Exception" instead of Import. I'm not sure why that is.
Hi @jscher2000,
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, the "Add Exception" button does not seem to allow me to select a specific PEM file. It seems to want me to request a URL to query a server's offered TLS certificate which is not what I want to do.
I am using Firefox Quantum 59.0.1 (64-bit) on Linux, Ubuntu LTS 16.04 if this helps.
Thanks, Keith
Hi Keith, I'm not aware of a convenient workaround.
Possibly you could import it using the command line utility, but the reference page is too long for me to figure out how to target it to the servers tab (as opposed to the authorities tab).
