on profiles edit screen i delted old unused ff profile

and Firefox deleted all other profiles data

after few Firefox restarts some of the data got back to left profiles but the passwords are gone

so i went ahead searching what i can do

so i got deleted files restored: key3.db key4.db cert8.db cert9.db logins.json signons.sqlite

restored but when i used many ways i found on web nothing working

thing is that i know my master password because i'm using it all the time all the years same

but nothing helps i still get logins.json.corrupt after all restart

is there ways to take out data of logins.json file ?

as there is hundreds of logins to thighs i need

Hi,

Note that the encrypted names and passwords are stored in logins.json and that key3.db is storing the encryption key. You need a key3.db file that matches the logins.json file to be able to decrypt its content. Both logins.json and key3.db need to be placed in the Firefox profile folder while Firefox is closed.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder

Current Firefox releases no longer use key3.db for the key file, but use key4.db (SQLite).

Why are you using an outdated Firefox 65.0b8 version and not the current Firefox 65.0 release?

You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (65.0) in all languages and all operating systems here:

How did you restore the logins.json and key4.db and key3.db file?

You can look at this utility to browse System Restore points.

The logins.json and key4.db files need to match because otherwise you can get a logins.json.corrupt file.

thank you for replays

but i have done all what you told

problem is that i think restored logins file is messed inside after restore from deleted and that's might be case i used DiskDigger to restore files

i have went ahead and found 2016 ff profile backup and took file from there lost few years of logins but main logins was there

as for update i'm bored about updates every day that's why i ignore them, if Firefox cant update it's self on restart of PC or browsers this is it's problems and i get rid of annoying notifications

i'm also disappointed with decision of Firefox to disable tons of plugins and extensions for older versions

i had awesome set of tools and now have shit stinky hole browser that is not the one i started using ~15 years ago...

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

thing is that deleting old profile ff deleted all profiles

so all legacy addons was deleted together with logins

this is the problem
