Why is Firefox keeping sites in my history from prior private browsing sessions?
When using Firefox in Private mode, websites that I've visited are showing up in my history in both my browser as well as on the taskbar when right-clicking the browser icon under frequent sites. My expectation is that once I close Firefox, any activity from that session is deleted. This does not appear to be the case with the latest version, 69.0

Hi erich_tucker,
It sounds like you are having issues with normal web browsing history displaying while browsing in Firefox Private. By default, Firefox Private Browser will display the URL's saved during normal browsing. If this is the case, and if you would like to turn off this setting, you can uncheck these settings under the Privacy & Security in Options panel.
Private Browsing does not save :
- Visited pages
- Form and Search Bar entries
- Passwords
- Download List entries
- Cookies
- Cached Web Content and Offline Web Content and User Data

To do this :
- Click the Menu '3-bar' icon in your browser
- Click Options
- Click the Privacy & Security on the left panel
- Under Address Bar, uncheck :
- Bookmarks
- Browsing history
- Open tabs
