Checking firefox configuration
I am using FF 88.01 on Mac OSx and I have found behavior changes in Firefox that where corrected by closing and reopening FF. An example is a youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb0FCQug48c which produced an error something like unable to play video no mater how many times I try yet other youtube videos would play. After closing FF then reopening it played.
Can the running configuration of FF be captured for evaluation ?

YouTube would require a pluggin like WideVine, which is used by/for FireFox. However, WideVine is no longer functional on the Mac's. So using WideVine via FF on the Mac no longer works. In all fairness though, the older mac's with the older version of FF with the older version of WideVine does work. But for how long, .......?
Solution at hand is the Safari app.
The configuration of FF has nothing to do with youtube.
Can a current configuration of FF be provided to determine if changes where made to FF configuration?

but the information i had previously provided to you may not have been clear. The WideVine pluggin is a vital piece of digital machinery that enables the viewing of YouTube videos. But this pluggin is no longer being made to function in mac environments. Many mac users had previously enjoyed YT videos via FF because of the pluggin. But since it is no longer compatiable with the Mac, we have been referring users to use Safari for enjoying YT and other online videos.

This has nothing to do with plugins or youtube.
Under FF configuration in privacy and security is an option for FF to "install and run studies" If this was performed how would a user determine that FF made a change? see enclosed

a few things to keep in mind about privacy.
microsoft's browser and the chrome have 100% no privacy protection. these browsers are making profits.
firefox is a browser created by a none profit, ie not for profit org Mozilla.
it is based on principle and not profit.
so if mozilla collects info it is not for profits nor for invading your privacy. and as you well know, ff is full of privacy features too.
therefore, please feel free to make adjustments to FF that assures your confidence with it.
but understand that in order to further improve upon FF, annomynous data would be helpful for the programmers and engineers to ascertain performance info, crashes, faults, errors, locations, country's, etc..,.
and then who knows, mozilla server may download and install something to overcome the issues or to further analyze the issues.
i dont know for sure though. but what is known, is that you have very little control with the other browsers.

1. Does FF have a method of examining the configuration?
It appears the answer is no as about:config does not give an option to view the entire configuration of FF.
