REQUEST TO REMOVE AUTHY LOCAL 2FA FROM OWN FIREFOX ACCOUNT BECAUSE OF 2FA LOCAL DELETE
DEAR SUPPORT
I HAVE MY MEGA DRIVE PASSWORD STORED IN MY FIREFOX ACCOUNT ... @protonmail.com WHICH I PROTECTED BY 2FA USING AUTHY.
AUTHY DIDN'T INFORM ME THAT MY SECURITY TOKENS WERE STORED LOCALLY ON MY WINDOWS INSTALLATION AND WERE NOT ONLINE WITH PHONE NUMBER + EMAIL LINKED AS IT IS NORMAL PRACTICE .
I AM UNABLE TO GET THAT TOKEN BACK SINCE MY OLD SSD HAS WORN OUT AND WINDOWS DELETED.
I HAVE EVIDENCE OF OWNERSHIP OF MY FIREFOX ACCOUNT.
(YOU CAN SEND ME VERIFICATION E-MAIL AT ... @protonmail.com)
I ONLY NEED MY MEGA DRIVE PASSWORD SINCE IT CONTAINS MY FIELD WORKED EXCEL FILE DATA WHICH I WILL HAVE TO RE-WORK IF FILE NOT RETRIEVED.
PLEASE REMOVE AUTHY 2FA CONDITION FROM MY MENTIONED FIREFOX ACCOUNT SINCE IT WAS LOCAL WINDOWS BOUND AND HAS NO LOGICAL EXISTENCE ANYMORE AS AUTHY SUPPORT HAS E-MAILED ME.
I SHALL REMAIL THANKFUL TO YOU.

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. I cannot help you with removing the security from your Firefox account.
You could use the "forgot your password" feature on your file storage site to reset your password if you don't have access to your Firefox account.
Your Authy account should be linked to your phone number - try downloading the app from another device and signing in there. If you get an error that "Multi-device is disabled", ask the Authy team to reset your account on their site.
That being said, if you have another device logged into your Firefox account, you can disable 2FA from that device at Account Settings. If you don't, try to find your recovery codes. Search your devices for a file called "<your_email> Firefox Recovery Codes.txt".
If you don't have any of these, then you will have to create a new Firefox account. Mozilla employees cannot remove the security from your account.
my file storage service is "mega", I relied on my mozilla password vault and didnot take any 2nd option for password reset.
Authy has told me that my "tokens" were stored locally and have been washed with the ssd wash. They cannot disconnect their authy 2FA lock from mozilla server since it is now between mozilla server and the "dead authy tokens" which are gone.
I donot have my firefox acct. on other device since it is my office premises unique account.
I didnot take recovery codes of mozilla since I relied on authy 2FA.
It is totally illogical and a kind of ransomware approach from mozilla for not cooperating with users for such dead 2FA services based on local installations.
