Two-factor authentication does not work with the Yubico Authenticator Android app for generating 6 digital temporary codes for login.
Hello. I wanted to secure my Firefox account and add two factor authentication.
But two-factor authentication does not work with the Yubico Authenticator Android app for generating the 6 digital temporary codes for logging in that I use.
When I add a firefox account to my Yubico Authenticator application for Android and generate a 6-digit code, when I want to add it and confirm it on the firefox settings page - it does not work and the code entered is unrecognizable. This is why I am unable to finish adding two factor authentication.
Can you check it and update and support the Yubico Authenticator application from Android?
Regards.

I assume that the app on Windows generated a different TOTP code generated a different code, so you can compare the previous and next codes to see if there is a match.
Did you check the time on the mobile device as other website might be using a larger time frame ?

I synchronized my computer and mobile time again and it worked.

Then you need to contact the Addon Developer for why it doesn't work for Firefox resets.
Make sure that the time and timezone is correct on all devices (i.e. use a trusted internet time service) as the TOTP code is only valid for 30 seconds.
You can try to scan the QR code with a QR scanner app and paste the otpauth:// link in the authenticator app.

1. I don't know how to do it, will you show me?
The codes generated by the windows application are correctly received. But after enabling 2FA and refreshing the firefox settings / logout account page, 2FA becomes automatically disabled and out of date. Even though it was turned on a while ago and the whole process seemed to be 100% successful to complete the addition of 2FA.
Android codes get "Incorrect two-factor authentication code" for me. So I can't go to the stage where backup codes are generated for me and need to be written down.
Have you seen my YT video showing what the problem looks like and how 2FA turned on after refreshing the page by the F5 key suddenly becomes turned off in one immediate moment?
