Websites such as the Sites above are not working in Firefox or other Open Source Browsers. I am being forced to use Chromium in this case to complete payments and add items to the DMV Cart and complete a payment for example. I do not want to have to do this. I do not want to be forced to use a Closed Source Browser such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome or Apple Safari. Or, Even the Open Source version of Google Chrome Chromium. Companies like PGE are deciding to drop support for Firefox as the State not enough users use Firefox. They are forcing the market to use a Non Open Source Browser. This is a Problem. This is not good for Competition and the Internet as a whole. Not good for me as I am a Linux User. The PG&E website does not even load when using Firefox. The DMV site loads but does not allow one to complete any Payments for Example. At this time one can only view Information on the DMV website.

This is why you need to have trust browser aka Edge, Chrome, Safari to access protected sites that requires browser with high levels of browser security to access such site. You don't get a choice on sites like this that requires specific browser to access the site - your left with the browser they permit to access their site.

Firefox is just as secure if not more so compared to Chrome/Chromium based browsers which are a downgrade overall. It does not help some are just lazy in making their sites only work just adequately and happen to work in Chrome/Chromium based browsers instead of making them work properly

I would agree that Firefox is just as Secure if not more Secure than Chrome/Chromium, Edge, and Safari. Being forced like this does not support Trust in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Chromium. Being forced like this supports the notion that the Internet being bought out by large Companies and forcing Open Source out of the Picture by not supporting Open Source at all. As this continues this is going to become a bigger and bigger Problem. This needs to stop.

Found another Website that is not loading properly on Firefox xfinity.com, and is not functional. What needs to be done to stop this? What needs to be done to allow Open Source Browsers such as Firefox to access these Sites (xfinity.com, www.pge.com, and my.dmv.ca.gov/ to name a few. This needs to Stop. The Internet is being bought out. By large corporations. This cannot happen.

As anything those sites can have webpage setup to work with certain browsers aka example anything related to Microsoft online apps or software works best when using Edge browser in combo to access feature that will only show up in Edge browser and Google online apps aka Drive or Docs work together with stability when using Chrome to access drive or Docs or Google online apps because they were written to work seamlessly together as to other browser if they are missing specific programming for integration with other browsers they will have missing feature or lack functionality as oppose to when used with matching browsers. And some financial sites do favor one browser over another and or that is a choice they make in their site programming access login. As to who owns who that is outside the scope of the user help forum as "Political talk" needs to stay out of the browser help forum.

Yes, I realize that some features will work better in the Browsers it was initially written for. However, I am finding more and more sites that do not load correctly or do not work at all with Open Source Browsers. The Browsers that do work, and that are listed as the Supported Web Browsers are the Closed Source Browsers. This is a Problem.

There's nothing much the Firefox/Mozilla NP creators can do about that. If you have to use their listed browser there's not much one can do since those are closed browser and only they the creators at this point. And since those that listed as the browsers to use most likely use Google and Microsoft services at this point. You have to remember regardless when we think Chrome, Safari and Firefox comes third in usage and maybe they engineered it that way but they got the $$$ to do what they want. And Google has Google servers that run alot of google analytics and googleadsservices and google servers at this point.
