I`m now getting a popup to upgrade to Firefox 6. What`s different and better in Firefox 6 compared to Firefox 5 if anything??

One thing that you might want to change in FF 6 is the greying-out of most of the URL in the address bar. user_pref("browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled", false);
